When Lisa Martin was looking for a destination for her wedding, she decided to stay close to home, and have her day in a quaint English farming village north of London. Her and hubby Tom Martin said their vows in St. Mary's church, first built in 1086, right in the heart of their community. Three bells hang in the belfry and date from the 16th century further giving the place an air of ancient rhythms and long forgotten songs. "Here time seems to stand still, offering its wisdom steeped in the fragrances of the lavender growing by the entrance," says Lisa of her dream wedding location.
